Balsamic Butter Pasta with Asparagus and Steak
- 1/2 pounds Asparagus
- 1/2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1/4 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 1/2 pounds Pasta (penne Or Shells)
- 5 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoons Brown Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 3 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 teaspoons Steak Seasoning
- 8 ounces, weight Steak
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Trim tough ends off asparagus, then slice the remaining stalks into 1 inch pieces.
- Toss with olive oil and salt and put on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the baking sheet from the oven and set aside.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- Bring balsamic vinegar to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat and allow it to reduce to half.
- Remove vinegar from heat and stir in brown sugar and black pepper.
- Drain pasta and put it into a serving bowl.
- Stir asparagus, vinegar mixture, butter and Parmesan into pasta.
- Season steak with steak seasoning.
- Grill over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Remove steak from heat and allow to sit for 2 minutes, then slice across the grain.
- Serve pasta topped with steak and Parmesan cheese shavings.
