Balsamic Butter Pasta with Asparagus and Steak

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Trim tough ends off asparagus, then slice the remaining stalks into 1 inch pieces.
  3. Toss with olive oil and salt and put on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the baking sheet from the oven and set aside.
  5. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  6. Bring balsamic vinegar to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat and allow it to reduce to half.
  7. Remove vinegar from heat and stir in brown sugar and black pepper.
  8. Drain pasta and put it into a serving bowl.
  9. Stir asparagus, vinegar mixture, butter and Parmesan into pasta.
  10. Season steak with steak seasoning.
  11. Grill over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  12. Remove steak from heat and allow to sit for 2 minutes, then slice across the grain.
  13. Serve pasta topped with steak and Parmesan cheese shavings.
