Garlic Hummus
- 1 (16 ounce) can chickpeas or 1 (16 ounce) can garbanzo beans
- 14 cup liquid, from can
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 12 tablespoons tahini (or unsalted peanut butter if you can't find tahini)
- 5 garlic cloves, crushed
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Drain chickpeas and reserve 1/4 of a cup of the liquid.
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on low until smooth.
- Add your own spices or chillies to taste to make infinitely many variations.
