Pork Steaks With Brown Rice Recipe

  1. Brown shoulder steaks thoroughly in warm fat in a heavy skillet.
  2. Remove steaks and season to taste with salt.
  3. Saute/fry washed and liquid removed rice in remaining fat about 5 min, or possibly till delicately browned, stirring constantly.
  4. Add in water, vegetables and seasoning; blend well.
  5. Place steaks on top, cover and cook over low heat 35 to 45 min till meat is tender and liquid has been almost entirely absorbed.
  6. Makes 4 servings.
