Wine Poached Pears With Cinnamon Ice Cream

  2. Bring the first eight ingredients to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. Add the pears and poach for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  5. Remove the pears and cool.

  7. Reduce the poaching liquid until it is a light syrup consistency, then strain.

  10. Drizzle the syrup on top.
  11. Serve with cinnamon ice cream.
