Brandy Raisin Apple Pie Recipe
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. brandy
- 2 x pie crusts (9 inch)
- 6 x Granny Smith apples
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 tsp grnd cinnamon Dash salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- Combine raisins and brandy in a jar; cover and chill overnight.
- Drain and set aside.
- Line a 9 inch pie plate with a prepared piecrust; set aside.
- Peel and core apples; thinly slice.
- Combine 1/2 c. sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt; stir mix to remove lumps.
- Stir in raisins and apples; spoon into piecrust.
- Dot with butter.
- Cover with top crust.
- Trim edges, seal, and crimp edges.
- Cut slits in top of crust for steam to escape.
- Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp.
- sugar.
- Bake at 400 degrees F. for 50 min or possibly till brown.
- Yield 10 servings.
