Sauerkraut And Sausage Recipe
- 1 can sauerkraut
- 1/2 sm. onion, minced
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon caraway seed
- 1 sm. potato, grated
- 2 slices bacon, minced
- 1 pound cooked smoked sausage
- Brown onion with bacon in pan.
- Add in remaining ingredients except sausage and bring to a boil while stirring.
- Lower heat.
- Add in sausage that has been cut into 2-inch long pcs.
- Cover pan and simmer for 20-30 min.
- Serve with panfried potatoes, pumpernickel bread, and warm mustard.
