Strawberry Sauce
- 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- In a small pot over medium heat, combine the strawberries, sugar, water, lemon zest, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
- Bring to a simmer, and stir gently until mixture thickens slightly.
