Strawberry Sauce

• 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup water
• 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
• 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
• 2 teaspoons cornstarch

1. In a small pot over medium heat, combine the strawberries, sugar, water, lemon zest, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
2. Bring to a simmer, and stir gently until mixture thickens slightly.
