King crab low down
- 2 5 ounce bags Louisiana crab boil
- 1 12ounce beer of your choice
- 1/2 cup ground cayenne pepper
- 4 garlic cloves peeled
- 3 lemons halved
- 1 large onion peeled and quartered
- 5 potatoes cleaned and halved
- 5 ears corn on Cobb cleaned and halved
- 5 Louisiana hot links halved (or sausage of your choice)
- 8 eggs
- 3 1/2 lb king crab legs
- 2 lb large deveined shrimp with shell on
- 1 lb mussel meat
- Get a large pot, fill with water 1/2 half way, add first four ingredients.
- Reserve one lemon, squeeze other lemons in the pot and toss in.
- Bring to a rolling boil, add potatoes, cook for 10 minutes, add corn, cook for 5 minutes, add sausage, cook for 5 minutes, add onions, eggs and king crab legs, cook for 8 minutes, add shrimp and mussel meat, cook for 8 minutes, drain, reserving liquid in a bowl (you can dip your seafood as you eat so it'll be nice and warm) place your masterpiece in a large serving tray, remove eggs, peel, poke with fork all over egg, let them soak in reserved liquid.
- Squeeze reserved lemon over seafood, enjoy!
- (I like to let the eggs soak for at least 10 minutes, they get that awesome flavor to them)
