Cinnamon Rolls for the Breadmaker
- 1 tablespoon fast rising yeast
- 12 cup warm water
- 13 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 12 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 12 cups flour
- 12 cup warm milk
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 34 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons low-fat cream cheese
- 12 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon water (or enough to desired thickness)
- In bread machine combine yeast, water and 1 teaspoon sugar and wait until foaming.
- Add the remaining ingredients and set to dough cycle.
- When cycle is done punch down dough and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Combine ingredients for filling in a small bowl and spread over dough.
- Roll up and pinch edge together to seal.
- Cut into 9 slices.
- Butter a 13x9 pan and place cinnamon roll slices close together in pan.
- Let rise in a warm place until dough is doubled in bulk i.e.
- for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until done.
- Cool.
- To make icing combine all ingredients and mix with a whisk until smooth.
- Pour icing over rolls.
