Bishop's Bread Recipe
- 3 Large eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. minced dates
- 1 c. maraschino cherries, liquid removed and minced
- 6 ounce. chocolate chips
- 1 c. minced walnuts or possibly pecans
- Preheat oven.
- Combine Large eggs and sugar.
- Sift flour, baking pwdr and salt together.
- Add in to egg mix.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Pour into well greased loaf pan.
- Bake 1 1/4 hrs.
- Cold in pan 10 min.
- Place on wire rack and cold.
- Slices best the second day and freezes well.
