Pineapple Bars

  1. Combine pineapple and dates in a saucepan.
  2. Cook on medium heat until thickened.
  3. Stir frequently.
  4. In a large bowl, mix oats, wheat germ, coconut, walnuts, and salt.
  5. Stir in juice and oil.
  6. Press half of the oat mixture in a greased 9x13" pan.
  7. Spread the pineapple mixture on top, then sprinkle on the rest of the oat mixture.
  8. Press down lightly.
  9. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  10. Cool, and cut into squares.
