Swiss & Gruyere Cheese Fondue
- 1 cup White Wine
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic, Minced
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 8 ounces, weight Swiss Cheese, Shredded
- 8 ounces, weight Gruyere Cheese, Shredded
- 2 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 1 loaf (1 Lb. Size) French Bread, Cubed
- 2 whole Granny Smith Apples, Cored And Sliced
- 1.
- Simmer wine, garlic and lemon juice in a fondue pot over medium-high heat for one minute.
- 2.
- Add Swiss cheese, Gruyere cheese, and flour into a Ziploc bag and shake.
- Add mixture into the fondue pot 1/4 at a time.
- 3.
- Stir after each addition to incorporate until cheese is melted.
- 4.
- Serve with bread cubes and apple slices.
- Notes: 1.
- For those of you who dont want to use wine (or quite frankly dont happen to have a mere 1 cup of it laying around unused), you can substitute white grape juice.

- You can also substitute lime juice for the lemon juice.
