Baboti Recipe
- 2 tsp Curry pwdr
- 1 tsp Grnd ginger
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 5 sm Onions, coarsely cut
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. Apricot jam
- 1 handf raisins
- 2 Tbsp. Chutney
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
- 1 x Tomato, cut up
- 4 slc Bread
- 2 lb Grnd beef
- 1 x Egg
- 3/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 1.
- Hot a heavy pot.
- Put in first 8 ingredients, hot thoroughly.
- 2.
- Remove from heat and add in next 6 ingredients.
- Return to low heat and mix till bubbly.
- 3.
- Dampen and dice bread.
- Add in to mix and stir well.
- 4.
- Add in grnd beef and cook for 15 min.
- 5.
- Fill a shallow greased casserole dish with Baboti mix.
- 6.
- Beat egg with lowfat milk.
- Add in salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour over Baboti mix.
- 7.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min (till custard is golden brown).
- 8.
- Serve with yellow rice and salad.
