Fried Golden Needles
- 12 daylily flowers
- 1 egg, beaten with water below
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 cup flour
- vegetable oil
- Dip each flower in the beaten egg.
- Roll it in flour.
- Saute the coated flowers in hot oil until crispy.
- Enjoy!
- This recipe works just as well with frozen daylilies as with fresh.
- A real treat to have in midwinter.
