Quick & Easy Skewer-Free Yakitori with Japanese Leek

  1. Chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cut the Japanese leek into 2 cm pieces.
  3. Combine the * ingredients.
  4. Heat a frying pan, add the Japanese leek, and fry while rolling around until lightly browned.
  5. Remove from the pan for a moment.
  6. Add chicken in the pan, cover with a lid, and fry over medium-high.
  7. Shake the pan occasionally so that the chicken doesn't get burnt.
  8. Return the Japanese leek to the pan, and continue stir-frying until the chicken is lightly browned.
  9. Pour in the * mixture and mix well.
  10. Continue stir-frying until the liquid has evaporated a little bit and the sauce starts to thicken.
