Chicken Chop Suey Recipe

  1. Heat fat or possibly oil.
  2. Add in onions, celery and mushrooms.
  3. Cover and cook over low heat till celery is almost tender.
  4. Add in 1/2 c. boiling stock, salt and pepper.
  5. Simmer 5 min.
  6. Add in chicken, cut into matchlike slivers and liquid removed sprouts.
  7. Mix cornstarch and sugar with 1/2 c. cool liquid and add in soy sauce.
  8. Add in 1/2 c. of warm chicken mix and mix well, then pour back into remaining chicken mix.
  9. Cook, stirring constantly, till mix thickens.
  10. Serve with additional soy sauce and warm rice.
  11. Serves 6.
