Triple Play Steak Burger
- FOR THE SAUCE (optional):
- 1/4 cups Sour Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Horseradish Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 24 ounces, weight Ground Sirloin Beef
- Salt And Black Pepper To Taste
- 6 slices Sharp Aged Cheddar Cheese
- 6 slices Red Onion, 1/4 Inch Thick
- 2 whole Onion Rolls, Or Your Favorite Burger Bun
- Set an indoor grill or griddle pan to medium high and spray liberally with cooking spray.
- To make the optional sauce, to a bowl, add sauce ingredients and stir well.
- Set aside.
- Form ground meat into thin patties.
- Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Cook on the grill or griddle pan to desired doneness (we like ours medium well)/ Add cheese to each patty and cook until cheese has melted.
- Remove from grill.
- Add onion slices to grill and cook 2 minutes each side.
- To assemble burgers, add optional sauce (or your favorite condiments) to the bottom of each roll.
- Add a patty, onion slice, another burger patty, another onion slice, followed by a third patty.
- Spread more sauce on the top bun if desired.
- Plate and devour!
