Baked Pears With Cranberry Hazelnut Filling Recipe

  1. Place pears cut-side up in baking dish.
  2. Combine cranberries, sugar and hazelnuts.
  3. Place 2 Tbsp.
  4. filling in each pear half.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees till tender and bubbly, about 30 min.
  6. This recipe yields 2 servings.
  7. Comments: The Times Test Kitchen used underripe Comice pears here (the round, greenish-yellow variety), that held their shape during cooking and produced a nice buttery flavor.
  8. Other good winter pears for baking include the Anjou, Bosc and Nelis varieties
