Green Peas Cantonese Recipe
- 1 pt. pkg. frzn green peas
- 2 onions, minced
- 2 celery stalks, minced
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 (5 ounce.) can water chestnuts
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce.) can mushroom soup
- 1 1/2 teaspoon flour
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 pkg. seasoned stuffing mix
- Cook peas unseasoned and drain.
- Cook onion and celery in butter.
- Add in water chestnuts, (liquid removed and sliced very thin), mushroom soup, flour and peas.
- Mix all together and heat on top of stove.
- Add in salt and pepper.
- Pour into casserole and cover with stuffing mix.
- Top with butter.
- Bake at 350 degrees till brown, about 15 min.
- Serves 6.
