Creamy Wheat Cereal with Maple Syrup and Bananas

  1. Chop enough banana to equal 1 cup.
  2. Slice remaining banana and reserve.
  3. Combine 2 cups water, nonfat milk and salt in heavy large saucepan.
  4. Bring mixture to boil.
  5. Gradually whisk in cream of wheat.
  6. Continue to whisk constantly until mixture thickens, about 4 minutes.
  7. Stir maple syrup and chopped banana into cereal.
  8. Divide cereal among 4 bowls.
  9. Garnish each serving with reserved sliced banana, dried banana chips and toasted almonds and serve.
