Best Ham Biscuits Recipe

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt and baking pwdr.
  2. Add in 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil to the flour mix.
  3. Stir with a fork just till extra virgin olive oil is incorporated into flour.
  4. Don't over-mix.
  5. Add in lowfat milk, parmesan cheese and minced ham to flour mix.
  6. Stir till ingredients are combined.
  7. Turn dough onto a lightly floured board.
  8. With a floured rolling pin, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  9. Cut the biscuits with a round biscuit cutter.
  10. Place on an un-greased baking sheet.
  11. Bake till lightly browned - 12 to 15 min.
  12. Combine the remaining 6 Tbsp.
  13. extra virgin olive oil, parsley, basil and chives in a small bowl.
  14. Allow the biscuits to cold slightly after removing from the oven.
  15. Cut biscuits in half and drizzle the extra virgin olive oil mix on the inside of each biscuit.
  16. Stuff each biscuit with a ham slice.
  17. Serve while still slightly hot
