Quick Pistachio Cookies

• 1 (17 1/2 ounce) bag sugar cookie mix
• 1 egg
• 12 cup butter flavor shortening
• 2 tablespoons instant pistachio pudding mix
• 14 cup minced candied cherry
• 12 cup pistachio nut

1. Put dry cookie mix and dry pudding mix in a bowl, stir.
2. Prepare cookies according to directions, adding egg and shortening as needed.
3. Stir in nuts and cherries until incorporated.
4. Spoon onto cookie sheets using rounded tablespoon measure.
5. Bake in preheated 325 oven for 9 to 13 minutes or to desired doneness.
6. Cool on a wire rack.
