Bland Dal Chawal Recipe
- 2 Tbsp. Toor Dal, (washed and soaked)
- 1 tsp Coriander Leaves, (finely minced)
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 2 pch Asafoetida
- 1 stalk Curry Leaves, (finely minced)
- 2 pch Turmeric Pwdr, (2 to 3) Salt - to taste
- 1 can Warm steamed rice
- 1/2 tsp Ghee
- Pressure cook washed dal in 2 c. water.
- (Approx.
- 4 whistles)
- Beat dal with hand beater until smooth and frothy.
- Heat ghee, add in seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves.
- Add in turmeric and dal.
- Add in remaining ingredients.
- Boil and simmer for 3-4 min.
- Serve warm with steamed warm rice.
- Making time: 10 min (excl.
- pressuring cooking)
- Makes: 1 c. / 1 serving
- Best in: ailments like fever, ulcers and acidity.
