Skier's Stew
- 2 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 6 lg. potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 carrots, sliced
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 env. dry onion soup mix
- In a Dutch oven, place half of the meat, potatoes and carrots.
- Repeat layers.
- Add water and tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle onion soup mix over the top.
- Do not stir.
- Cover and bake at 250F for 5 hours.
