Chipits Chewy Toffee Skor Almond Bars
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 (225 g) packagechipits skor toffee pieces
- 34 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup sliced almonds, divided
- 34 cup flaked coconut, divided
- Preheat oven to 350F Grease sides of 9x13-inch pan.
- In large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add flour beating until well blended.
- Press dough into bottom of prepared pan.
- bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned along the edges.
- Meanwhile in medium saucepan, stir together toffee bits and corn syrup.
- Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until toffee is melted, about 12 minutes.
- Stir in 1/2 cup almonds and 1/2 cup coconut.
- Spread within 1/4 inch of crust edge.
- Sprinkle remaining almonds and coconut over top.
- Bake an additional 15 minutes or until bubbly.
- Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
