Asian Pork Stew Recipe
- 2 Tbsp. Oil
- 1 lb Boneless pork, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 c. Minced onion
- 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
- 2 c. Water
- 1 tsp Beef-flavor instant bouillon
- 1/4 c. Soy sauce
- 1 c. Diagonally sliced celery
- 1 x Red or possibly green bell pepper, cut in strips
- 1 c. Frzn green beans
- 1 can Sliced water chestnuts, liquid removed, 8oz
- 2 can Mushrooms, liquid removed
- 1/4 c. Water
- 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- Heat oil in Dutch oven or possibly large saucepan over medium-high heat till warm.
- Add in pork, onion and garlic; cook till pork is brown.
- Stir in 2 c. water, bouillon and soy sauce.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 min.
- Add in celery, bell pepper , green beans, water chestnuts and mushrooms.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer an additional 5-10 min or possibly till vegetables are done.
- Combine 1/4 c. water and cornstarch.
- Gradually add in to vegetable mix, stirring constantly.Cook and stir till thickened.
- Serve over rice.
