Honey-Kissed Pears

  1. Drain pear halves and set aside, reserving liquid.
  2. Place pear liquid in small saucepan; add cinnamon stick and orange peel.
  3. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until liquid is reduced to 1/4 cup.
  5. Stir in raisins and brandy, if desired; simmer 1 minute more.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in honey and vanilla.
  7. Let cool.
