Chinese Pepper Steak Recipe
- 1 pound beef tenderloin
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 med. green peppers
- 4 tbsp. veg. oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cooking sherry
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 c. beef bouillon
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cool water
- 1/4 c. diced onion or possibly scallion
- Thin slice beef and put in bowl.
- Add in soy sauce.
- Let stand 10 min.
- Cut pepper in 1 inch squares.
- Heat Tbsp.
- veg.
- oil on high heat; stir fry pepper.
- Add in salt and sherry, cook 1 minute.
- Put on plate, keep hot.
- Add in remaining oil, garlic and onion; brown.
- Add in beef, fry 1-3 min till brown.
- Add in bouillon and bring to boil.
- Add in vegetables and boil.
- Thicken with cornstarch.
- Serves 4.
