Broiled Tomatoes Parmesan Recipe

  1. Cut the tomatoes in half crosswise.
  2. Gently squeeze out and throw away the seeds.
  3. Place the tomatoes cut-side up on a boiler pan prepared with nonstick pan spray.
  4. Combine the garlic, oil, basil, and pepper in a small bowl.
  5. Brush proportionately over the cut surfaces of the tomatoes.
  6. Broil 6 inches from the heat source till warm, about 5 min.
  7. While the tomatoes are broiling, combine the crumbs and cheese in a small bowl; sprinkle proportionately over the tops of the warm tomatoes.
  8. Return to the broiler till the crumbs are browned, about 2 min.
  9. Serve immediately.
  10. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  11. Serving size: 1/2 tomato.
