Texas Longhorn Touchdown Brownies

  1. In a 3 to 4 quart pan over low heat, stir butter with cocoa until melted.
  2. Off the heat, beat in sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Add flour, pecans, and chocolate; mix well.
  5. Spread batter in buttered 9x13 inch pan.
  6. Bake in a 325F (160C).
  7. oven until top feels dry in center, about 35 minutes.
  8. Cool in pan.
  9. If baking ahead, wrap airtight when cool and hold up to a day.
