Black Pepper Chicken

  1. Marinate chicken with salt and black peppercorns for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in pot and when hot, stir-fry garlic for 5 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add black soya sauce and mix well.
  5. Pour in water.
  6. This should be enough to cover the chicken.
  7. Turn fire to medium and simmer covered for 10 minutes.
  8. Add onion rings, stir and continue to simmer over a low fire for another 5 minutes.
  9. Serve with white rice.
