Barbecued Short Ribs for Smoker

  1. Directions: Place ribs in a baking dish, bowl or heavy duty plastic bag.
  2. Combine other ingredients and pour over ribs.
  3. Toss ribs so all are evenly coated.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  5. Remove ribs from the sauce and place on smoker grid.
  6. Baste with sauce before cooking and once during cooking.
  7. CHARCOAL: Use 5 to 7 lbs.
  8. charcoal, 3 quarts hot water, 2 wood sticks and smoke 1 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours.
  9. ELECTRIC: Use 1 1/2 quarts hot water, 2 wood sticks and smoke 1 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours.
  10. GAS: Use 3 quarts hot water, 2 wood sticks and smoke 1 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours.
