Carolina Honeys
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp tabasco pepper sauce
- 4 lb pork spare ribs
- Combine all ingredients for sauce in sauce pan over high heat.
- Blend with wire wisk until smooth.
- When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 - 45 minutes.
- When mixture thickens, remove from heat.
- Preheat oven to 300F.
- Coat ribs with sauce and cover with foil.
- Place ribs in oven and cook 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
- Remove ribs from oven and grill 2 to 4 minutes per side, brushing each side with sauce.
