Melt-In-Your-Mouth Cheddar Cheese Boxes

  1. Freeze Bread.
  2. When frozen, cut crusts off of bread and cut into approx 1 cubes (no need to be pretty or perfect!)
  3. Refreeze bread cubes.
  4. Cream softened butter with freshly grated cheese (I prefer sharp cheddar but experiment if you will).
  5. Once fully combined, add cream, egg white, salt and a few dashes of Tabasco (not for heat but for flavor).
  6. The mix should be completely spreadable.
  7. Remove bread cubes from the freezer a few at a time.
  8. Frost all but one side of the bread and place un-frosted side down on a plate.
  9. Return full plate to freezer to completely freeze frosted cubes.
  10. Once all cubes are frosted and frozen, they can be put into bags and stored until needed.
  11. To cook: Preheat oven to 375.
  12. Place frozen boxes un-frosted side down on baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden.
  13. Sit back and wait for people to love you!
