Melt-In-Your-Mouth Cheddar Cheese Boxes
- 3 whole Loaves Of French Bread
- 1/2 pounds Butter
- 1/2 pounds Sharp Ceddar Cheese Freshly Grated
- 1 Tablespoon Whipping Cream
- 1 whole Unbeated Egg-white
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 dash Tabasco Sauce
- Freeze Bread.
- When frozen, cut crusts off of bread and cut into approx 1 cubes (no need to be pretty or perfect!)
- Refreeze bread cubes.
- Cream softened butter with freshly grated cheese (I prefer sharp cheddar but experiment if you will).
- Once fully combined, add cream, egg white, salt and a few dashes of Tabasco (not for heat but for flavor).
- The mix should be completely spreadable.
- Remove bread cubes from the freezer a few at a time.
- Frost all but one side of the bread and place un-frosted side down on a plate.
- Return full plate to freezer to completely freeze frosted cubes.
- Once all cubes are frosted and frozen, they can be put into bags and stored until needed.
- To cook: Preheat oven to 375.
- Place frozen boxes un-frosted side down on baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden.
- Sit back and wait for people to love you!
