Pineapple-Pear Jam

  1. Chop pineapple in processor.
  2. Strain juice into heavy large nonaluminum saucepan; reserve pineapple.
  3. Add pears to saucepan.
  4. Simmer over medium-low heat until tender, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
  5. Add pineapple, sugar and lemon juice.
  6. Reduce heat to low; simmer until mixture drops thickly from spoon, stirring often, about 1 hour.
  7. Cool.
  8. (Can be made 1 week ahead.
  9. Cover; chill.)
