Rita's Bacon Meatloaf

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine ground beef, eggs, ketchup, breadcrumbs, onions and 1 cup of cheese.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape.
  5. Place it in a casserole dish
  6. Sprinkle the remaining half cup of shredded cheese atop the meatloaf.
  7. Drape the bacon over the meatloaf, overlapping slightly.
  8. Tuck the ends beneath the loaf.
  9. Pour A-1 sauce over bacon covering the meatloaf.
  10. Bake for approximately 90 minutes at 350F or until internal temperature reads 160F.
  11. Allow meatloaf to cool for a bit before slicing.
