Boysenberry Syrup Pie Recipe
- 1 c. Knotts Berry Farm Boysenberry Syrup
- 1 c. Water
- 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 2 x Egg yolks
- 1 tsp Butter
- 1 x Nilla Wafer pie crust
- 2 x Egg whites
- 1 Tbsp. Knotts Berry Farm Boysenberry Syrup
- Combine syrup, water, and corstarch and bring to a boil, stirring till thick.
- Remove from heat.
- Beat egg yolks, add in a bit of the warm syrup mix to the yolks, whisking constantly.
- Add in the yolk mix to the warm syrup and reheat till pudding consistency.
- Add in the butter, and stir till melted.
- Cold slightly.
- Pour into pie crust.
- Beat egg whites stiff, adding slowly the Tbsp.
- of syrup.
- If soft peaks don't form, add in a little more syrup.
- Pile on pie and place in 400 F oven till peaks have browned.
- New Hampshire Maple Syrup Pie.
- I tried the suggestions you gave me, Faylen, and the consistency of the filling for this pie turned out much better than the apple syrup one.
