Smokey corn chowder
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- dash pepper
- 4 cup milk ( I used 2%)
- 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 16 oz whole kernel corn, drained
- 8 oz lima beans, drained
- Cook onion in butter until tender.
- Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
- Add milk all at once, cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in sausage, corn and lima beans.
- Simmer for 10 minutes .
