Healthy Firm Tofu Hamburgers
- 1/2 block Tofu
- 1 Green onion or scallion
- 5 cm Carrot
- 1 tbsp Chirimen jako
- 1 can Canned tuna
- 1 tbsp White sesame seeds
- 1 dash each Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil (for stir-frying)
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- Wrap the tofu in a paper towel and let sit for 30 minutes to drain the excess water.
- Finely julienne the carrot and finely chop the green onion.
- In a bowl, combine the drained tofu, carrot, green onion, chirimen jako, canned tuna, and sesame seeds.
- Mix all the ingredients and season with salt and pepper.
- Flatten out the mixed mixture into round patties, heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry both sides of the patties until golden brown.
- Pour the combined sauce over the patties in one go.
- Simmer until the sauce thickens and the patties are well coated.
