Celery Casserole

  1. Cook celery in small amount boiling water until just tender (about 5 minutes).
  2. Drain.
  3. Combine celery, almonds, chestnuts and mushrooms.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Pour into greased baking dish.
  6. Melt butter; blend in flour.
  7. Cook 1 minute.
  8. Add broth and half and half.
  9. Cook until thickened.
  10. Pour over celery.
  11. Combine cheese and bread crumbs.
  12. Sprinkle over casserole.
  13. Top with melted butter.
  14. Bake 25 minutes at 350u0b0.
