Veal Picante Recipe
- 2 tbsp. all purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Healthy pinch of pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 2 (4 ounce.) slices veal
- Vegetable cooking spray
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 thin lemon slices
- Additional lemon slices (optional and I prefer them)
- Combine first 4 ingredients; stir well.
- Dredge veal in flour mix; lb.
- with a meat mallet till thin.
- Heat a heavy skillet over medium heat; spray with cooking spray.
- Add in veal; brown on both sides.
- Combine water, vinegar, and brown sugar; stir well.
- Pour over veal; add in bay leaf.
- Place a lemon slice on each veal piece.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 min or possibly till done.
- Throw away bay leaf and lemon slices.
- Garnish with fresh lemon.
- Goes well with a side dish of carrots, and top off with orange tapioca for dessert.
