Anita's Turkey

  1. Thaw turkey out in refrigerator the day before you are ready to cook.
  2. Chop celery and onion in a large bowl.
  3. put the turkey in the cooker along with all the vegetables and seasonings.
  4. Fill the turkey cooker half full of water -- (this keeps the turkey moist and also makes the broth we use for our family gravy and dressing.
  5. Cook on 250F (slow-low) all night long.
  6. I usually put on about midnight and it is ready to bone and make dressing etc.
  7. with around 10:00 a.m. the next morning.
