Chicken Chinese Style Recipe
- 4 half breasts of chicken
- 1 (1 pound 4 ounce.) can pineapple chunks
- 1/4 c. syrup from pineapple
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. dry sherry (optional)
- 1/4 c. veg. oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp. toasted sesame seed (optional)
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- Remove skin and bones from the chicken breasts.
- Cut into chunks or possibly strips.
- Drain pineapple, reserve syrup.
- Combine 1/4 c. syrup with catsup, sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice and sherry.
- Simmer 10 min.
- Meanwhile, flour chicken pcs.
- Brown chicken pcs quickly in heated oil in 10" skillet for about 10 min.
- Drain well and remove to 9"x13"x2" baking pan.
- Add in pineapple chunks.
- Pour sauce over.
- Toss to coat well and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 min till chicken is cooked and glazed.
- Serve with warm cooked rice.
