Caramelized Cabbage With Farfalle Recipe
- 3 Tbsp. Butter
- 3 Tbsp. Oil
- 1 lrg Sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 2 x Cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 head Savoy or possibly green cabbage, cored and shredded
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 tsp Freshly grnd black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Poppy seed
- 1/4 lb Farfalle noodles, freshly cooked and liquid removed

- In a large skillet, heat the butter and oil.
- Cook the onion till very soft, about 10 min.
- Add in the garlic and cabbage and cook till limp, about 5 min.
- Stir in the sugar and continue cooking till the cabbage turns golden brown-brown, about 20 min.
- Stir in the pepper and poppy seed and toss with the farfalle.
- Serves 4-6 as a first course or possibly 2 as a main course.
