Bird's Seafood Chowder Recipe
- 1 lg. diced onion
- 1 lg. diced bell pepper
- 1 stalk diced celery
- 1/4 c. bacon drippings
- 1 (16 ounce.) can tomatoes
- 2 (16 ounce.) cans mixed vegetables
- Dash of oregano
- Dash of sage
- 1 teaspoon Mex-I pepper
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee
- 1 c. catsup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 pound diced white fish fillet
- 1 1/2 pound peeled med. shrimp
- 3 crabs, cleaned and halved
- Saute/fry onions, peppers and celery in bacon drippings.
- Add in all other ingredients, except seafood, and bring to a boil.
- Simmer for 30 min, add in seafood and cook for another 15 to 20 min.
