Aldine Hotel Baked Beans

• 1 (16 oz.) Can of Great Northen Beans
• 1/4 lb. Slab Bacon
• 1 c. white sugar
• to taste Salt & Pepper

1. Dice & Render Bacon in a cast iron 3 quart dutch oven or covered casserole.
2. Add beans, sugar, and salt & pepper.
3. Stir until combined.
4. Cover with water, and bake at 350F for 1 1/2 hours.
