Sweet-and-Sour Red Cabbage

  1. Melt butter in large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add cabbage and saute until slightly wilted, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add sugar; toss to coat evenly.
  4. Add vinegar.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer until cabbage is tender, stirring often, about 30 minutes.
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
