Herbed Spareribs
- 3 lbs beef short ribs or 3 lbs spareribs, cut into pieces
- salt & pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 12 cup onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 14 teaspoon thyme
- 14 teaspoon oregano
- 14 teaspoon basil
- 12 bay leaf
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 12 cup water
- Sprinkle ribs with salt& pepper.
- Heat oil in saucepan; saute onion until tender; add garlic.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 min.
- Parboil ribs, then place in a shallow pan.
- Cover with sauce.
- Bake at 375* for 30 min.
