Beef Tips Over Noodles
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 4 lb. beef, cubed
- 1/2 c. chopped green onion
- 2 cans mushrooms (optional)
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef broth
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp. ketchup
- 1/4 c. dry red wine or water
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- Toss flour, salt and pepper with beef cubes.
- Add onions and mushrooms.
- Combine beef broth, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over beef and vegetables; stir well.
- Cover and cook on very low heat for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
- (May also be cooked in a crock-pot for 7 to 12 hours.)
- Before serving, turn up heat.
- Make smooth paste from wine or water and flour and add to meat.
- Stir well and let thicken.
- Serve over buttered noodles.
- Makes 8 to 10 servings.
