Hazelnut Muesli Bar Recipe
- 1 12 cups of dry cooking oats
- 200 g dried fruit
- 12 cup of chopped hazelnuts
- 12 cup honey (or golden syrup)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 14 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- In a bowl, place the cooking oats, dried fruit and chopped hazelnuts.
- Mix well together.
- Pour the honey into a saucepan.
- Add the vegetable oil, peanut butter and vanilla essence.
- Gently bring to the boil.
- Pour the heated honey mixture into the oat, fruit and nut mixture.
- Stir well together.
- Place the mixture in a baking tray lined with foil and pat it down so it forms big muesli bar.
- Cook in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes, or until the top has a nicely golden brown colour.
- Take the tray out and let it cool.
- Once it has cooled, place the large muesli slice in the fridge for approximately an hour to let it set.
- Once the large muesli slab has set, take a sharp knife and slice it into the required muesli bar slices.
